When Artificial Intelligence Plays Havoc

How to make United Airlines bankrupt and burn 75 percent of United Airlines stock value without any human interactions involved?

1. An algorithm at Sun Sentinel puts an archived article on the UAL bankruptcy filing in 2002 to the most popular section. (due to low traffic at 1 AM )

2. Googlebot finds the article and makes it searchable in Google News.

3. A notification system puts the “news” up on the screen of a non-detail-oriented securities analyst at Bloomberg who publishes the “news” from 2002 as a current news to the Bloomberg News Service.

4. Automated trading systems get the “news” and start selling UAL Stocks.

5. UAL $12.30 a share, hits a low of $3 a share on Monday at $10.92.

I am sure, this algorithm hickup can be treated with an if loop.
